Synopsis: Janis was paralysed at the age of 22 and has spent her time since then mostly in bed. She looks at the outside world via a surveillance camera connected to her laptop. Through the camera she can keep an eye on everything that would otherwise remain hidden from her – the living room, the kitchen and especially the life outside her front door.
Inhalt: Seit einem tragischen Unfall ist Janis querschnittsgelähmt und hat die letzten Jahrzehnte fast ausschließlich im Bett verbracht. Da sie ihr Schlafzimmer nicht mehr verlässt, observiert sie ihre Umwelt durch eine Überwachungskamera. So wandert sie an Orte, wohin ihre Beine sie nicht mehr tragen können, und beobachtet all das, was ihr sonst verborgen bliebe.

Synopsis: Each night the only border crossing between India and Pakistan on a 3000km stretch becomes the sight of an extraordinary event. Thousands of people gather to witness the ritual closing of the border, after which the masses get as close as possible to the gate to greet their former neighbours. This “festival“ is therefore on the one hand a celebration of the partition, but on the other hand also the only connecting element. What do the terms separation, home and proximity mean to the people on both sides?
Inhalt: Indien und Pakistan trennen über dreitausend Kilometer Grenze – und verbindet ein einziger Grenzübergang. Dieser wird allabendlich Schauplatz eines einzigartigen Spektakels, wenn die Grenztore geschlossen werden. Ein paar Kinder verdienen sich einige Rupien durch den Verkauf von DVDs dieses Ereignisses. Tausende kommen jedes Mal, singen, tanzen und feuern die eigenen Soldaten an. Gleichzeitig spüren alle eine große Sehnsucht nach den Verwandten und Freunden auf der anderen Seite der Grenze. Denn durchlässig ist die Grenze selten: Der Film wurde daher mit zwei Teams in den beiden Ländern gedreht.

Synopsis: Dima, a young petty criminal, is about to be deported from Germany when he meets a young student, Sarah, who is working on a documentary film about the lack of opportunities available to young foreigners. Becoming aware of the attraction between them, Dima plays more than a role in Sarah’s documentary and they gradually leave the ground beneath their feet and learn, step by step, to fly…
