Synopsis: After is a film about contemporary life in Auschwitz. In an observation from dusk till dawn, it portrays the theatre of everyday life around the grim confines and captures the energies and activities of a world fascinated by this former concentration camp.

Synopsis: Motuvun is one of the most picturesque and interesting towns in Istria. Like many other cities in the region, it had a turbulent history. In 1948, almost everybody left, but, in recent years, newcomers (both Croatians and foreigners) have occupied the houses again. An important question is: can these locals and newcomers create a coherent community? This documentary tries to find out by questioning several representatives of the parties concerned.
Inhalt: Motovun ist eine der schönsten und interessantesten Städte in Istrien und hat wie viele andere in der Region eine wechselvolle Vergangenheit. Die Gegenwart ist geprägt von Unsicherheit ob der Zukunft, und der Film versucht durch Befragung herauszufinden, ob Einheimische und Fremde dabei einen gemeinsamen Weg finden können.

Synopsis: Masiphumelele or Masi is a township near Cape Town, South Africa, where high crime rates and limited access to the police have necessitated community-based security measures. The film portrays the way of the Bambanani and Street Committee volunteer movements‘ fight against the crime in Masi.

Eine hohe Kriminalitätsrate und ein beschränkter Zugang der Polizei haben die Bürger dazu veranlasst, selbst für ihre Sicherheit zu sorgen. Synopsis: Janis was paralysed at the age of 22 and has spent her time since then mostly in bed. She looks at the outside world via a surveillance camera connected to her laptop. Through the camera she can keep an eye on everything that would otherwise remain hidden from her – the living room, the kitchen and especially the life outside her front door.
Inhalt: Seit einem tragischen Unfall ist Janis querschnittsgelähmt und hat die letzten Jahrzehnte fast ausschließlich im Bett verbracht. Da sie ihr Schlafzimmer nicht mehr verlässt, observiert sie ihre Umwelt durch eine Überwachungskamera. So wandert sie an Orte, wohin ihre Beine sie nicht mehr tragen können, und beobachtet all das, was ihr sonst verborgen bliebe.
