Inhalt: Eine Parabel auf Klassen- und Schichtendenken: Edward, Susan und ihr Sohn Lino leben in einem gutbürgerlichen englischen Vorort. Inhalt: Ein kleines, schwerhöriges Mädchen aus schwierigen Verhältnissen flüchtet vor den dauerstreitenden Eltern. Unterwegs in der Stadt sieht sie überall an den Hauswänden das gleiche Bild.
